If you are looking for a great hotel for your next vacation or just for a weekend getaway, we highly recommend the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace Hotel. It is just a mile from Disney World and only a couple minutes walk from Disney Springs. They have amazing amenities and great restaurant options. They also have a wide range of seating options throughout the hotel… Making every size guest feel comfortable and welcome!
The Hotel!
Located next to Disney Springs, this Hilton is welcoming you with their sunglass-wearing smiling emoji on the outside entrance. Their parking lot is big and offers numerous spots for guests. We paid for the overnight valet parking for our two-night stay. It was convenient and the pricing for valet was 35 dollars, only 10 dollars more than the 25-dollar self-parking overnight fee. The concierge and check-in desks are easily accessible when you enter the front doors and everyone was incredibly helpful and polite. As part of the service, we received text messages checking in with us to make sure we were happy with the room, amenities, and asking if we needed anything during our stay.

The Room
We had a king bed room. The room had an additional couch and chair/table seating area. The room had a TV with DVD player attached. You could bring your own movies or movies were available to rent from machines in the lobby! Like Redbox for hotels! They also had plenty of options on the TV itself if renting via a box isn’t your style. The room came with multiple places to plug in your electronics… From places by each bed, attached to the lights, along the walls, the number of places to connect your devices was vast. All of the chairs in the room were comfy and open. I had no problems fitting on any of them. However, the balcony chairs squeezed my hips a bit. It was still comfortable enough to enjoy sitting out there, but if I had been any bigger in the hips, I might not have wanted to sit outside. The bathroom was spacious. I didn’t have any problems with the toilet or shower. Though the shower is long vs. wide. It wasn’t uncomfortable at all.

The View
We had an amazing room! The view from our room allowed us to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks and the Epcot fireworks at the same time. We had so much fun trying to watch both. The pictures below make the fireworks look really small, but that is the fault of my phone camera. We actually could see them very well! They also have rooms that face Disney Springs. My husband and I both agreed that it would be neat to look at Disney Springs from our balcony at night, but that is for another trip.

The Pool
The pool is amazing. With a large pool for lounging and swimming as well as a lazy river to float around in. The tubes were standard-size pool tubes. I was half in, but would not have been able to get on top comfortably. The lazy river takes about 10 minutes to float one full circle around. There was a lot of seating around the pool… Mostly chaise loungers with a few other chairs. Chaise was comfortable for any size. Umbrellas were available between most chairs… Without a rental required. They do have cabanas for rent. I didn’t look into the price at the time, and the webpage fails to list a price. It does have an email link though. The cabana had a mini-fridge, TV, overhead fan, and a safe for belongings. According to the website, it comes with a fruit platter when you arrive.
To the side of the pool area was a nice hot tub nestled between some trees. There was also a beautiful yard area with games to play and more chaise lounges for relaxing away from the actual pool area. It was somewhat busy when we walked through during the day, but in the evening it was much less crowded and lit for relaxation or romance!

Dining Options!
By the pool food? Try Shades!
Shades is the poolside restaurant and bar. If you walked up to the bar, you could be seated and eat restaurant-style or place walk-up orders to pick up at the window. Another great option was to eat poolside. They had menus throughout the chaise lounges and staff taking orders while we were there. They have a “kid-friendly” menu as well as an adult menu with a variety of drinks to choose from! Most of the chairs in the restaurant are free of arms/sides. It was all very comfortable and sturdy options which included to side couch areas with fire pits at each.

Want something a bit more formal? Try LetterPress for dinner or breakfast!
LetterPress called to the English teacher in me! I fell in love with the theming before we even sat down. Beyond the theming, the restaurant has a multitude of different seating options. All were comfortable and welcoming to people of all sizes. We had dinner, early in the evening, and the restaraunt was completely ours. I took advantage of the emtpy hour to take pictures of all of the seating options. I tried the steak and asparagus, my husband had the salmon with mashed potatoes. Both were amazing, but to be honest, it was the sauces that really made the meal amazing. I had the creamy gorgonzola and it was HEAVEN! We also got a side of the mac and cheese. It was delicious as well, but after all the other food we had, neither of us had room to finish it. The restaurant is definitely priced for an upscale place to eat, but we enjoyed the meal.

Citrus 28
Citrus 28 is a walk-up, quick-stop shop, for grocery items to take to your room, the pool, on the way to the parks, or just to eat in their sitting area. They had Starbucks coffee and pastries as well as an ice cream shop to go along with their other items. The candy store part piqued my interest with some “Florida” candy I had never heard of. They also had an incredible alcohol area if you wanted to have some spirits. Along with the food options, they also had bread toasters, microwaves, etc. for getting food ready.

Blue and Sunnies
Blue and Sunnies are the two “bars” in the lounge. They have great drink choices, ample comfy seating, and bar/parlor games to keep you entertained. The main bar off of the check-in desks has TVs up for entertainment as well. My favorite part was the view from the balcony in the back bar. It was so beautiful. You stood over the water and looked out over the grounds. It was very relaxing and a great photo spot.

Game lovers? No worries… They have an Arcade!
The arcade was downstairs by the Citrus 28. It works off tokens. I thought it was a bit pricey compared to other hotel arcades I have been to, but the games worked well and sometimes that is the hardest thing to find at a hotel arcade. Pinball is my go to game, so I was excited to see a couple of those, but what did I spend my money on? Zoltar… Because I watched the movie “Big”, with Tom Hanks, too many times!

The Gym!
The fitness center was really big. It had a lot of different machines to offer. It was clean with a good supply of towels for anyone that wanted to use the equipment. I will not pretend to be an expert on the fitness room… I will let the pics speak for the space!

Want to shop? They have a great store!

Hallways, Bus Routes, and More
From the shuttle service to the conference room. This Hilton offers so much to do. We were there for two nights and didn’t leave the hotel… We were well entertained and very comfortable for our entire stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to call home while they are on vacation.
